Ministry and Personnel Committee

From the Ministry and Personnel Committee (M&P):

The M&P Committee serves both the church staff and congregation. Every United Church congregation is required to have an M&P Committee which, among other things, is a "confidential consultative body that supports the pastoral relationship." It also functions as an advisory body for the Leadership Board and makes recommendations for their action when required.

In addition to ongoing consultation and staff support, the Committee is concerned with performance reviews, remuneration, the staff/congregation relationship, continuing education for staff, the effectiveness of actions towards the church mission and our Five-year Plan, and the necessary liaison with Presbytery.

Toward this end we would like to ensure that all members of the Highlands family know that the M&P co-chairs and Committee members are available to hear and discuss your concerns, suggestions, and commendations. The co-chairs and members were appointed or reappointed at the recent congregational AGM:
