Marriage Licence

A Licence is required and needs to be applied for in the 90 day period before the wedding date.
*The Licence is to be brought to the church as least one full working day before the wedding.

Donations to the Church

For Chapel only:	$110.00*
For Sanctuary: (Includes Sanctuary, Hostess & Organist/Pianist)	$350.00*
Minister:	$150.00*
Minister (off-site ceremony)	$200.00

Please note:

If any of these donations present a financial problem to a couple, the Minister will be pleased to talk with you about your particular situation. Donations marked with an asterisk are optional from people who are active members of Highlands United Church.	If the organist is required to rehearse with a soloist or to attend the wedding rehearsal, there is an additional amount of $25.00. The hostess conducts the rehearsal and is present at the wedding to provide assistance and direction. Any concerns about flowers and logistics can be addressed to her.

Please also note the following:

Book a rehearsal time by calling the Church Office. Rehearsals need to be between the hours of 4.30p.m. and 7.00p.m. Bring to the rehearsal, cheques or cash for the above amounts, as well as your candles and pew bows (if desired). Banners might be in place at the front of the Church on the date of your wedding and cannot be removed.

The Ministers of our congregation have varied responsibilities and sometimes the Minister you begin conversations with is not the person who will officiate at the wedding. If this were to be the case, the minister would talk with you about the needed arrangements. We strongly encourage your attendance at Worship in the weeks preceding your wedding. You will find that worship with our congregation on a Sunday morning will serve to enrich your wedding and your marriage. Services are at 9.30a.m. and 11.00a.m. unless otherwise noted.
