Sunday MorningOn Sunday mornings there are two services. At the 9:30 service, there are programs for all youth. There is a grade 5 to 7 group and a grade 8 to 12 group. Youth are also invited to stay and participate in worship.Throughout the year, there are opportunities to participate in intergenerational services. If you are interested in being involved in specific ways with Youth Ministry here at Highlands, please contact Alison Wainwright. 
ConfirmationThere are opportunities for High School age youth to attend a confirmation class, where you can discuss what it means to live out the Christian faith within the community, the world and as an individual. Individuals are then invited to consider confirming their faith. However, there are no expectations that this is the outcome.For more information please contact Alison Wainwright.
ChoirHighlands has a fantastic music program which includes two choirs for children and youth. For more information please check out the music section. |
Youth GroupThere are two youth groups here at Highlands - a grades 5 to 7 group and a group for grades 8 to 12. What do we do at youth group? We do a lot of community building, faith and life discussions/ exploration, crazy wacky games, crafts, outings (skating, swimming, dances etc), outreach in the broader community and some discovering of who we are in a safe community.There are also many broader church events for youth in grades 8 to 12 to get involved. BC Youth Conference, Walking the Talk retreat, May Retreat and Dances are just some of the events that the youth are invited to participate in. If you are interested in trying youth group out, please contact Alison Wainwright so that you can get on the phone & email list. 
Programs/ClubsHighlands also supports youth programming that takes place throughout the week. There are several groups of Cubs, Scouts and Guides. For more information please contact the church office.
