On November 19th, 2023, the congregation of Highlands United Church voted unanimously to become an officially designated affirming congregation of the United Church of Canada.

HUC Affirming Vision Statement
Highlands United Church proclaims an inclusive welcome to all people. We envision a vibrant and evolving community that embraces the full spectrum of diversity including people of any age, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, Indigenous identity, race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religion, marital status, family composition, physical or mental ability, or social or economic circumstance. We are committed to being a safe community and we celebrate the gifts diversity brings. All are invited to fully participate in the worship and work of our community.
