Wow! What a weekend we have in front of us as a church community. Tonight, if you are a senior youth, you can join the cast of characters in a murder mystery night. How fun is that?!
At the same time, the Thrift Store, lower hall and courtyard is in final preparations for the Grand Opening of the Highlands Thrift Store. This festive event will include a BBQ lunch, coffee and doughnuts, and the usual Highlands joy. The Thrift Store Team has been working towards this moment for three years now, and we are finally here. Congratulations.
Sunday morning marks the launch of the Thriving Faith campaign to build a solid financial and physical future for the Highlands community. Again, we have been working towards this moment for two years and the day is finally here. Come celebrate, hear the call, and join what I hope will be a Spirit-led experience leading to a solid future for Highlands.
Meanwhile, the leaves drift down, the earth cools, the rains fall nourishing the ground, and our lives flow on. God is at work in so many seen and unseen ways among us. Sometimes we can feel it in the activities. Sometimes we can just feel it in our bones. I hope you feel it, and I hope you will gather to share the blessing of it.
