The course description says, “This course will explore Jesus’ core values and deep spiritual teachings about money.”
As we journey through the Thriving Faith campaign we may discover that, for Jesus, the conversations about money are really about the kingdom of God. This Sunday Jesus helps the rich man and the disciples see that it’s not so much whether or not we have wealth, but it’s the choices we make about the use of these resources that is key.
What do we cling to? Where do we put our trust? What do we make a priority?
Jesus asks us to follow him right into the kingdom of God. To shed the worldly messaging of what’s important and adopt the spirit of the kingdom: to use what we have to serve each other and trust God with the rest.
